I typically do not like going to the dentist I’ve had some dental issues in the past. But I just had the best dental experience I had in my life. Dr. Allen, informed me of all that needed to be done, took plenty care to numb me for the treatment, carefully worked, played music to calm my nerves, and even kept me in the loop of what he was doing. I ended up falling asleep while he worked. Truly my best dental experience. Thanks docs dental for your amazing team! The ladies in the front were also kind and very helpful.

Update: another FAILED visit. Came in for the rescheduled appointment (4th time)and the doctor says they can't do the procedure...why did you schedule me with an incompetent doctor? Then was told the contract for my service expires tomorrow (which was known ahead of time by the clinic, but not known to me)...so now I cannot get my teeth fixed at all. Was then told to just go pay thousands of dollars out of pocket in the community. People don't choose military denal when they can pay for something themselves.... absolutely useless dental office. Some of the worst service I have ever received, and STILL HAVEN'T BEEN SEEN BY A DENTIST. Have scheduled an appointment with this location multiple times. Have been cancelled on, the dentist no call no show, and rescheduled an appointment due to being sick and only to find out they never rebooked the appointment in the system. Has been a waste of time, resources and gas.

I had a very negative experience with DOCS Dental at Fort Eustis and would not recommend them to anyone, especially military families. I was treated without my dental insurance ever being properly verified, and I later found out my multiple separate visits (x rays, exam, cleaning, fillings) were not covered. After that, I was billed FAR MORE than the original estimate and was never given any clear explanation or itemized statement for the charges. I spent MONTHS trying to contact the office with no responses. Calls went unanswered, voicemail was full, and emails were blatantly ignored. Even TRICARE and the Better Business Bureau could not reach them. I only got a response after escalating to corporate, sending multiple emails to someone in corporate, and stating that I would file more formal complaints to other agencies. While they now have adjusted the charges, it should not take that level of effort and frustration to get basic communication and billing transparency as a patient. Overall, this was a frustrating experience with poor communication and billing practices. I would STRONGLY recommend going anywhere else for your dental needs.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. They did not show up for my appointment. Yes, that is right, they scheduled me for 8 am appointment. I had to wake up at 5 am get my 2 small children ready for daycare, come 15 min early to appointment just to find out the closed door. And nobody showed up even 30 min later. Not a single person who could explain what’s going on. I had no calls or messages trying to reschedule. I’ll never come back to this place.

This office is unprofessional, unorganized and has unsatisfactory service. I drove 45 minutes to my scheduled appointment that was scheduled 6 weeks prior and was told when I arrived my appointment was cancelled due to the orthodontist not being present that day. The front desk service clerk was unapologetic and rude and told me a message was left, however it was not. The only message I received was a message for me to CONFRIM my appointment. I called back at a later date to reschedule nd the finally answered. Other times I have called they do not answer at all and they do not return phone calls to vociemails that have been left. After finally answering I was placed on hold for 30 minutes. I had to take another call and when I called back no one answered. This is highly inconvient being that there location is not on close proximity to where I reside, otherwise I would make arrangements in person. They do not send out reminder emails or text about your appointments and when you call to find out about your appointment they do not answer the phone. Then when you show up the customer service is not welcoming.
